Brooklyn 6G Summit Update

The 11th annual Brooklyn 6G Summit explored the impact of AI and machine learning on telecommunications.

Presentations and discussions explored how AI and other advancing technologies promise new superpowers for 6G wireless, while also causing challenges in areas such as security and sustainability. For the first time, the Summit also included a student panel.

Students from multiple schools talked about the future of wireless technology and how AI may change research, products, and networks. Some panelists said security could become a major issue as AI models become part of wireless systems.

Another major topic was sustainability. Researchers discussed how wireless systems could become more efficient and use less energy. The panel also talked about how industry and universities can work together to solve real world problems.

Overall, the Summit showed that 6G is not just about faster phones. It is also about AI, energy use, security, and making networks smarter for the future.
